Dancing On Ice has announced that Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu has joined the 2023 line-up. The Love Island winner, who was crowned champion alongside boyfriend Davide Sanclimenti this summer, will be taking to the rink in January.

The reality television star is the third Dancing On Ice contestant to be announced, Ekin-Su joins EastEnders legend Patsy Palmer and former footballer John Fashanu in the line-up. The news was announced on Good Morning Britain on Wednesday, October 5.

Richard Arnold made the announcement while in the studio with presenters Susanna Reid and Ed Balls. Speaking to viewers at home, he said: "Ekin-Su is lacing up those skates ready to put her skills to the test."

Ekin-Su then appeared via video link and said: "Hi Good Morning Britain, it's Ekin-Su here today. I've got some amazing news to tell you. I will be doing this year's Dancing On Ice, I'm so excited for the team, I can't wait to get myself on the ice and skate."

It comes after ITV announced Ekin-Su and Davide would be returning to screens for a Love Island spin-off that follows their journey after the villa. Called Ekin-Su & Davide: Homecomings, the two-part programme will see the duo pack their suitcases again for two new adventures.

The new show will follow the Love Island 2022 winners as they travel together to Davide's beloved Italy and Ekin-Su's hometown in Turkey. The couple, who won the popular dating show this summer, will meet one another's family and friends, from parents to siblings and grandparents in the new series. You can read more about this here.

Ekin-Su joins Patsy Palmer, who was the first contestant announced for Dancing On Ice, and John Fashanu. Speaking following her big reveal, Patsy said: "My pact that I made with myself when I was 50 was I have to do things to challenge myself for the next couple of years. This is for all the 50 year-olds out there that think they can't challenge themselves!"

While John revealed he was in it to win it. He said: ""I'm so excited to be a part of Dancing on Ice! I don't think it'll come as a surprise to people that I'm very competitive - I am definitely in it to win it.

"And this may be one of the scariest things I've ever signed up for but I couldn't be more ready for the challenge!" Dancing On Ice returns in 2023. For more showbiz and television stories get our newsletter here.
