Plans have been approved to use two key Sunderland city centre spaces for events such as expos, festivals, markets and more over the next seven years.
Proposals were submitted earlier this year by city council chiefs in a bid to gain permission to offer a variety of activities at Keel Square and on land forming part of the Riverside Sunderland site.
Both applications sought to secure temporary uses at both sites for a period of no more than seven years
