Dana White refuses to rule out YouTube star Jake Paul fighting in UFC

UFC president Dana White has refused to rule out the possibility of Jake Paul fighting in the promotion despite their bitter row.

The pair have been in a feud over fighter pay in the UFC and have been going back and forth on social media.

Paul is keen to face the UFC's best stars in crossover bouts but is willing to face fighters such as Conor McGregor and Jorge Masvidal in the octagon.

Although White has refused to rule out Paul competing in the promotion, he has admitted that he is now "done talking about him" after his latest challenge fell on deaf ears.

“It’s not that he doesn’t have my respect, I don’t even know the kid," White told the FULL SEND podcast. "To be honest with you, right here right now, this is the last time you’ll hear me talking about him. I’m done with it.

“Would I let him (in the UFC)? Well, he can do whatever he wants to do. I don’t know. I don’t think that would ever happen but listen, I never say never anymore."

Paul's latest challenge to White was dismissed by the UFC kingpin after he offered to compete in a one-time fight with Masvidal in the UFC while hanging up his boxing gloves.

The deal also included an increase in pay for fighters in the promotion and improved healthcare for those who fight in the octagon.

White has previously stated that he would only be willing to entertain any prospect of further boxing ventures if they can reach the hype of Floyd Mayweather's exhibition with McGregor.

The YouTube star has already fought in crossover bouts against former UFC champion Tyron Woodley and former contender Ben Askren.

Paul has been seen training MMA as he practiced his leg kicks in a video that was posted on his social media accounts.

However fans questioned his kicking technique and were unsure that Paul should make the switch in to the cage.

The 25-year-old has spoken about his desire to train with Khabib Nurmagomedov to improve his MMA technique if he is to compete in the UFC octagon.

However Nurmagomedov's coach Javier Mendez has debunked the star's training theory and is yet to receive contact about beginning a camp.

Paul also has been subject to interest by other promotion labels Bellator and PFL.

PFL's CEO Peter Murray has confirmed that talks have taken place for Paul to compete in the promotion.

“Hey, listen, you know, if any major athlete that is considering and wants to get into MMA, of course the PFL is in the conversation,” Murray told MMA Junkie.

“What the PFL is about is offering fighters opportunities and fans access to great events. Jake has certainly got a large global following.

"He’s got a strong point of view. He’s a real athlete, and he’s established himself in boxing. And, you know, if he’s looking at MMA as that next opportunity in parallel, perhaps with boxing, of course we’re going to have a conversation."
