Dan Walker has been sharing updates following his BBC Breakfast exit. The presenter left the morning show after six years on Tuesday, May 17.
The 46-year-old quit BBC Breakfast to move to Channel 5 News, he will be replacing Sian Williams on the programme after she stepped down from anchoring the show last month. Following Dan's departure news correspondent Jon Kay has been hosting the BBC Breakfast alongside Sally Nugent.
And it looks like Dan has not been missing the early alarm calls. In a fresh update, the Strictly Come Dancing star told fans he was enjoying staying up later.

On Sunday, May 21 he told his Twitter followers: "It's quite fun not having to go to bed isn't it?". BBC Breakfast starts on weekdays at 6am and Dan's shift saw him host the show Monday through to Wednesday.
Replying to Dan's post, his former co-host Sally wrote: "Stop it," to which Dan revealed: "I woke up at 3 naturally if that helps."
Prior to his exit, Dan revealed he would set his alarm five times between 3:01am and 3:19am in order to get up for BBC Breakfast. Sharing a screengrab of his wake up calls, Dan wrote: "I'm going to miss so much about BBC Breakfast but… only 2 more days of this!"
It's not been confirmed when Dan will start his new role on Channel 5 News. The programme is on each weekday between 5pm and 6pm.
In his exit announcement, Dan explained he was excited to work on a range of programmes as well as news when he makes the move. He said: "I've had the incredible privilege of working on some iconic programmes over the last few years, both at the BBC and elsewhere, and what I love about this deal is I not only get to present the news but also host a whole range of programmes right across the channel."
He continued: "And what an honour to step into the shoes of Sian Williams, I know how popular she is with both the team and also the audience. All I can say is I will do my very best to maintain her incredibly high standards."
