Presenter Dan Walker has hit back at Piers Morgan after the TV broadcaster claimed he had 'milked' his injuries. The former BBC Breakfast host, who now presents 5 News on Channel 5, was involved in a cycling accident last month which left him 'lucky to be alive'.
Taking to social media on February 20, the 45-year-old shared a photo of himself bloodied and bruised after being knocked off his bike by a car. Dan told his Instagram followers: “Just got home from hospital. Battered and bruised but – amazingly – nothing broken. Very thankful to still be here. I have no memory of anything and just remember coming round on the tarmac with paramedics & police around me."
The Channel 5 presenter has since been sharing updates of his recovery as he confirmed he is unable to remember any details of the incident which occurred in Sheffield. The journalist then admitted he was 'confident' that he was not to blame after the cycling accident which he 'hopes can be resolved outside court'.

A week later fellow presenter Piers Morgan has now taken a swipe at Dan claiming he has been 'milking' his injuries.
Dan and Piers were often known to publicly row over ratings when they presented BBC Breakfast and ITV’s Good Morning Britain.
After a Press Gazette article from the RTS Awards stated Walker was reviving his former rivalry with Piers, the Uncensored host quoted the article claiming Dan was 'bitter'.
Sharing a tweet with his 8.4 million Twitter followers on March 2, Piers said: "If I were Dan Walker, and I’d been kicked off Match of the Day & BBC Breakfast, then washed up on Channel 5 daytime, and only got press these days by falling off a bike, getting a few grazes, and milking it like I’d survived a terror attack, I’d be this bitter too."
Referencing Piers' tweet, Dan then hit back at him with a dig about Meghan Markle, whom Piers often publicly criticises.
Alongside laughing face emojis, he responded on March 2: "What a laugh. Interesting idea of taking a lesson on bitterness from a fella who has written article after article attacking a woman who had one drink with him & thought he was a numptie.
"We missed you last night. You should have come."
Piers is yet to respond to Dan's latest jibe.
