Dan Burn delighted staff at a Newcastle city centre restaurant when he called in for breakfast this week and posed for a picture right next to a tribute to his Newcastle United teammate Bruno Guimarães.
Popular defender Burn was in action for the Magpies over Easter weekend, starting for Eddie Howe's men as they came from behind to earn a crucial 2-1 victory against Brentford, cementing their third place position in the Premier League table.
Unlike football league sides, Newcastle didn't have two fixtures over the Bank Holiday period, so Blyth born star Dan took the opportunity to head into town and pay a visit to highly rated haunt Horticulture. Since opening at the end of 2019, just a few months before the Covid pandemic rocked the hospitality industry, Horticulture has established itself as a real favourite amongst locals, visitors and food critics alike and has been shortlisted for and won numerous accolades.

The Market Lane restaurant is renowned for its top tier brunches and cocktail offerings and Dan chose wisely when it came to his order, going for one of the menu's most sought after dishes - the Muckle Brekkie.
The epic breakfast comprises two sausages, two rashers of bacon, black pudding, fried eggs, tomato, hash browns, mushrooms and beans on sourdough toast.
After tucking into all that, Dan had time for a picture, right next to a wall with a light box on featuring the words 'We've got Bruno in the middle,' in recognition of the famous fan chant about the Brazilian midfielder.
Sharing a photo on Facebook of staff with the NUFC centre back, Horticulture wrote: "HE’S FROM BLYTH - And came all the way to Horti for his brunch, and also a fanboy/girl picture with our overly excited squad when the mighty and insanely tall Dan Burn walks in for his well earned Muckle Brekkie!… He loved his bait but wasn’t impressed we had “We’ve got Bruno in the middle" on the lightbox.
"Haha he was just jestin’ but its now changed to “He’s from blyth” dint worry Burny lad"
