Dame Julia Donaldson releases third Gruffalo book 22 years after sequel

• Dame Julia Donaldson has published a third instalment in the popular children's series, The Gruffalo .
• The work, titled Gruffalo Granny , comes more than 20 years after The Gruffalo’s Child , which was published in 2004.
• It follows the Gruffalo and his daughter as they venture into the deep dark wood to prepare a meal for Granny's visit.
• Featuring illustrations from Axel Scheffler , the work weaves in classic characters Fox, Owl, and Snake.
• Donaldson’s other notable works include Room on the Broom , Stick Man and The Snail and the Whale .
