Dame Deborah James says emotional farewell to her brother ahead of holiday

Dame Deborah James has said a heart-filled goodbye to her brother Ben, who is travelling to the US today for a long-planned holiday. The mum of two, 40, is receiving end-of-life care at her parent's house in Woking and has warned Ben that he "must not come back under any circumstances" the Mirror reports.

Deborah has been fighting terminal bowel cancer for five years and has documented her battle to help spread awareness of bowel cancer and its symptoms. Speaking to the Sun, she said: "I have told him they have to go, they've planned the trip for ages."

"I also told him that he must not come back, under any circumstances. He says he'll come home. It'll be horrible saying goodbye to him. I can't really think about that right now," Deborah added.
