Eamonn Holmes has paid tribute to inspirational cancer campaigner Dame Deborah James who lost her battle with the disease at the age of 40.
The podcaster, who was diagnosed with bowel cancer in 2016, died on Tuesday after spending her final weeks receiving end-of-life care at home with her husband, Sebastien, and their two children. Belfast presenter Eamonn shared a picture of himself and wife Ruth Langsford with Dame Deborah from two weeks ago at Ascot.
He wrote: "Bye Dame Deborah. This was just 2 weeks ago at Ascot . She told us then that she had been given just a week to live and had already out lasted that by 2 weeks. May you rest in peace."
