Dame Arlene Phillips, 78, looks incredible as she makes ITV Dancing On Ice debut and fans call for her to become permanent judge

She was a judge on the hit BBC show Strictly Come Dancing before famously being replaced by singer Alesha Dixon in 2009.

So fans were delighted to see Dame Arlene Phillips joining the ITV skating contest Dancing On Ice as a guest judge.

The 78-year-old choreographer from Prestwich appeared on the show for one night only.

She dazzled in a sparking blue dress as she joined regular judges Ashley Banjo, Jayne Torvill, Christopher Dean and Oti Mabuse.

Ahead of her debut Arlene Instagrammed a photo of herself with host Holly Willoughby, 41.

"The hostess with the mostest," she captioned the smiling snap.
