A frightening scene unfolded during a USC practice Monday, as guard Bronny James entered cardiac arrest on the court and collapsed. James was treated by the medical staff and taken to the hospital, as The Athletic's Shams Charania revealed in a statement that was released. Bronny was listed in stable condition Tuesday after being removed from the intensive care unit.
The news was sadly familiar to many sports fans just six months after Bills safety Damar Hamlin went through a similar terrifying incident, entering cardiac arrest during a game against the Bengals. He was transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center for treatment.
On Tuesday, Hamlin — now also a national spokesman for CPR training — took to Twitter to offer support for James and his family.
"Prayers to Bronny & The James family as well," Hamlin tweeted. "Here for you guys just like you have been for me my entire process."

James is the oldest son of Lakers forward LeBron James, the NBA's all-time leading scorer.
The elder James sent well-wishes to Hamlin after his collapse in January and later met the Pittsburgh alum at Super Bowl LVII.
