- Iran launched revenge strikes across the region after attacks by the US and Israel earlier Saturday. A projectile struck outside the Fairmont in Dubai’s prestige Palm Jumeirah area.
- The government of Dubai’s Media Office confirmed an “incident occurred in a building in the Palm Jumeirah area" and four people were injured.
- Explosions were also reported in Bahrain, the UAE, Jordan, and Qatar, triggering airspace closures. Flights to and from Dubai were suspended indefinitely as Dubai International Airport, the world’s busiest airport, paused operations.
- The US and Israel, led by Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu, conducted “preventative attacks” in Iran, with Trump confirming a “major combat operation” to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons.
