Dalymount Park redevelopment may be 'unviable' as cost skyrockets to €52 million

The cost of redeveloping Bohemian FC 's stadium has become "potentially unviable" due to skyrocketing costs.

Dalymount Park in Phibsboro was due to be transformed into a 6,000 capacity UEFA Category 3 stadium. The new grounds would be the home of both Bohs and Shelbourne FC.

A 2018 analysis of the project estimated it would cost €36 million to carry out and Dublin City Council received €918,750 in funding from the Government towards the project. However, a cost project completed in December last year from the design team appointed to the development found it would cost over €52 million.
