Emiliano Andrade-Covarrubias, a 56-year-old Mexican national who lived in Dallas for decades, was found unresponsive during a morning security check at the Rio Grande Processing Center in Laredo on Oct. 17. Staff performed CPR and called emergency services, but he was declared dead about 20 minutes later. He is the seventh person to die in Immigration and Customs Enforcement detention in Texas this year, The Texas Tribune reported.
His cause of death has not been determined. The Webb County Medical Examiner is performing an autopsy.
