Dallas Cowboys told they "cannot trust" Dak Prescott with Cooper Rush decision looming

The Green Bay Packers got back to winning ways on Sunday as they beat the Dallas Cowboys 31-28 after overtime, and Dak Prescott has been questioned once again.

The Packers ended a run of five-straight defeats as they got the better of the Cowboys, despite the fact they trailed by 14 points heading into the fourth quarter. The Cowboys are now 6-3 for the season, one which back-up quarterback Cooper Rush has had a big part to play.

Injury to Prescott early into the season handed Rush the starting role, and the Cowboys seemed to get stronger despite missing their prized quarterback. Prescott is back in the starting line-up after returning, but Undisputed host Skip Bayless said he 'missed Rush' against the Packers.

Heading into the final quarter, it looked as though the Cowboys would move to 7-2 for the season while the Packers' woes were set to continue. But you can never back against Aaron Rodgers, even in the form that he and the Packers have shown recently.

The Cowboys lost from a very strong position, and it's kept the Packers' season alive for now. But Bayless anticipated that there would be problems even with their differing levels of form, and has even claimed that he'd prefer Rush to become the starting quarterback.

"You can't trust my coach or my quarterback with big games on the line," Bayless ranted on Undisputed. "I told you that this game in the end would be all about Dak Prescott. It would be his game to lose and was it ever.

"I told you, Aaron Rodgers is not dead yet - he's got way too many weapons left. Just because he lost Romeo (Doubs), I don't care. In the end he still had Lazard, still had Tonyan, and Christian Watson can still fly. He's 6'4 and dropped the first two catches, but after that he had a coming out party much to my regret.

"The bar got set much higher for Dak because of what Cooper Rush did, he saved the Cowboys season. In the biggest games, Dak does not come up big very often. If you look back at the last three of four years, show me in big games where Dak came out and won the game and lived up to his contract.

"He's won one play-off game in his life, in his NFL career, which was way back in 2018. I'll give you maybe two games where he excelled in a big game, but I see it way more often with Cooper Rush. Yesterday I missed Cooper Rush."

Even with a record of 6-3, the Cowboys find themselves third in a stacked NFC East division. Due to the unexpected rise of the New York Giants, and with the Philadelphia Eagles remaining the only unbeaten side in the NFL, the Cowboys are lagging behind.

The Cowboys are still expected to be a force between now and the end of the season, but Bayless is concerned due to Prescott's big game record. Prescott will be keen to prove him wrong, along with any other haters.
