If you, like many of us, became an expert in the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders over the past month, you may be thrilled to hear they’ve picked their squad for the upcoming season.
The fever surrounding Netflix’s hit documentary series, America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, continues to burn, with many wondering what would be next for the girls after the series’ end.
As we know, the Dallas Cowboys make their squad audition every year, adding a gripping (and perhaps torturous?) element of ‘will they, won’t they’ to the selection process.
The gruelling trials eventually hand 36 cheerleaders a coveted spot on the squad—and it’s fairly cut throat.
While a full list of names is yet to be released, we do have a photo of the team.
If you’re wondering if your favourites from last year are returning to the DCC, here’s what we know.
Which ‘America’s Sweethearts’ Made The DCC 2024 Squad?
A handful of names from last year’s team are set to return in 2024, including bffs Charly Barby and Reece Weavers. Here are a few names you might remember. Roll call:
Kelly Villares
You might recall the scandal that was the cheerleader who dared become brunette. In the first season of America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, Kelly Villares made it to the final round of auditions when, during her rookie makeover, they dyed her hair brown.
Kelly subsequently did not make the cut but vowed to return to audition in 2024. For those rooting for Kelly’s success, you’ll be pleased to know that Kelly has made the DCC squad in 2024.
Charly Barby
Fans hoped and prayed that Charly would be given another shot after being cut from the DCC team during last season’s training camp. The surprise announcement saw Charly share a touching—and tear-jerking—moment with fellow rookie, Reece Weaver.
As she promised her new bestie, she is indeed back in the 2024 squad. And if she is cut during training… we will riot.
Reece Weaver
As mentioned, Reece and Charly became fan favourites after Charly’s shock departure. And Reece, who proved herself in 2023, is also officially back in 2024.\
Madeline Salter
Madeline Salter is back again, joining the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders as a phenomenal four-year DCC veteran.
Anna Kate Sundvold
A second-year veteran and real-life investment advisor, Anna Kate has made the team in 2024.
