Dalbeattie Primary has a wonderful week raising funds for charity

Dalbeattie Primary had a wonderful week with great support for Children in Need and the Janice Jamieson Memorial Foundation.

The total amount raised throughout the week – including Children in Need Day on Friday – was the amazing amount of £578.

Of that £150 will go to the foundation with £428 on its way to Children in Need.

Thanks go to the school pupil councillors who worked so hard with the spotty ball lucky dip where it was 50p a go to pick out a ball number for a chance to win a Pudsey goody.

Thanks also to Mrs Houston who helped the school pupil councillors to make spotty chocolate crispies.

Many children also participated in the T-shirt design competition.

The standard was very high but there was one winner judged and this was Tamzin.

On Friday, the whole school had a non-uniform day, instead wearing something bright and/or spotty.

Donations were brought in for this too and the amount raised on the Friday was split between the foundation and Children in Need.

Thank you to all for their support.
