The Cowboys were completely outmatched on Sunday night against the 49ers, failing to compete on both sides of the ball.
Dak Prescott had one of the worst games of his career in the 42-10 defeat. He completed just 14 passes and recorded his third-ever game with three interceptions.
Speaking to reporters after the game, Prescott shared an honest take on Dallas’s second loss of the season, indicating that he was humbled by the Niners’ defense.
“I didn’t see it coming,” said Prescott, via Jon Machota of The Athletic. “This was maybe the most humbling game I’ve ever been a part of.”

Prior to Sunday’s matchup, Prescott had thanked reporters for giving him some extra motivation for the game after he was reminded about his previous struggles against the 49ers.
San Francisco has eliminated Dallas from the playoffs in each of the last two seasons. Prescott had two touchdowns and three interceptions in those losses, and his struggles against the Niners’ defense continued on Sunday.
The 30-year-old had just one interception heading into Week 5, but his season tally now sits at four after his brutal outing.
He didn’t mince words when discussing the loss, admitting it was “humbling” to be defeated in such a lopsided manner.
