Dak Prescott and Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones make fresh pleas to Odell Beckham Jr

The Dallas Cowboys are continuing their aggressive pursuit of superstar wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr who is nearing a return to full health with numerous teams expected to put in offers for him.

Beckham Jr has been a free agent after rupturing his ACL in the Los Angeles Rams' win over the Cincinnati Bengals at the Super Bowl, when he scored the first touchdown of the game and was a huge catalyst in turning their offense around during the second-half of the season and throughout the playoffs. He and Cooper Kupp paired to form one of the deadliest receiving duos in the league, and Beckham Jr has been linked to do the same this season with Stefon Diggs at the Buffalo Bills.

The Bills brought in Von Miller, who also spent last season with the Rams and became close friends with Beckham, and has been campaigning for the 30-year-old to join the upstate New York team.

And whilst the Bills had been favourites to sign Beckham, it appears that the Dallas Cowboys lead the way, along with his former team, New York Giants.

The Cowboys are continuing to be very vocal in their pursuit though, with both owner Jerry Jones and quarterback Dak Prescott both speaking on their hopes to bring him in.

Speaking off the back of their dominant win over the 8-1 Vikings, winning 40-3 in an impressive offensive showing, Prescott touched on what Beckham could bring to the team.

He said: "When we're playing like [how we did in Minnesota] and you're able to add a talent like Odell, that can be special. That just creates more weapons for not only me, but for the offense [as a whole] and for the play-caller. It's more things for the defense to worry about.

"We're getting him in [for a visit] and hopefully things are going great in the recruiting process."

Prescott echoed those sentiments, saying: "He knows how much I want him here. And a lot of the guys in this locker room have reached out on their own in different ways — to make sure he understands this is a team he can help. And we want him to come help."

Meanwhile, the team's owner, Jones, said: "The main thing that everybody would agree with: If you can improve this team right now and it’s within reason, you should do it."

After the Cowboys win over the Vikings, Beckham tweeted: "They went [crazy] today", with Cowboys pass-rushers DeMarcus Lawrence and Micah Parsons both responding in an attempt to convince the receiver to join.
