A dad who created a £100,000 mega treehouse without permission says he didn't want to wait for the planners to sign it off because he has cancer - and feared he would never have seen it built.
John Kitson, 42, put up the luxury building near Looe, Cornwall, during the pandemic but didn't follow strict legal building guidelines.
He has now explained why he splashed out and did the work without getting the council's green light.
