A dad who died after a two year battle with cancer "fought until the very end".
Michael Moriarty died at his home in Walton on March 24 after first being diagnosed with cancerous tumours in his bowel, liver and lung. The dad-of-two was previously told he had irritable bowel syndrome and his initial concerns were dismissed as haemorrhoids.
Michael received the devastating news he had cancer on Christmas Eve 2020 and started a series of gruelling radiotherapy and chemotherapy bouts before being told he had just two years to live. Michael's mum, Bernadette, told the ECHO he wanted to keep fighting for his children.
