Dad used AirTag to find missing daughter — then police made a horrifying discovery

Police
  • Police released bodycam footage showing officers discovering the body of PennWest California University student Karoline Heintz hidden inside her vehicle after her father tracked her location using an Apple AirTag.
  • Her 18-year-old boyfriend, Royce Moser, was charged with criminal homicide after allegedly confessing that a demon instructed him to stab Heintz to death.
  • Moser's 56-year-old mother, Rachel Moser, was charged with helping cover up the murder by following her son to dump the vehicle, washing his bloody clothes, and hiding the knife.
  • Both mother and son face charges including tampering with evidence, abuse of a corpse, and obstruction of justice, with Rachel Moser also charged with hindering apprehension.
  • The mother and son are being held without bail at Washington County Jail ahead of an October 13 formal arraignment.
