Dad told he's 'going to hell' after stranger stopped him as he shopped

A dad was told he was "living in sin" by a stranger in the street as he shopped with his partner.

Jason Walsh, a Green Party councillor for Bebington, was stopped twice in one day by people who recognised him from his work in the local area. The 35-year-old and his partner firstly were told how they would both be “sent to hell” because of their homosexuality.

Cllr Walsh, a bank manager, told the ECHO : “In my early 20s, I had a few derogatory words said about me on the streets and I had a waiter ask me to stop holding hands with my partner in a restaurant as we were supposedly upsetting the other guests - which just wasn’t true.
