A dad has gone viral on social media after sharing a little-known method for getting rid of damp and mould which transformed his home for good.
TikTok user @wilmill18 explained that his Victorian house used to be plagued with damp and mould, particularly in his daughter's bedroom which has two external walls. "I used to have a dehumidifier, I tried all those little tricks with mould remover - nothing worked," he said.
He then told viewers that he had installed a Positive Input Ventilation (PIV) unit - a ventilation system that works by drawing in fresh, filtered air from outside into a home and can be installed in a loft space, or on a wall in a flat. He explained that since getting the unit up and running, the humidity levels in the house have dropped and the mould has never returned.
