A shock meeting with a pal led to a dad making a doctor's appointment which saved his life. Now Mike Crowe is speaking out to share an all important message to other men who may be in a similar predicament.
Mike was shocked when he discovered close friend Gilly Morgan had been diagnosed with prostate cancer back in 2014, but the news inspired the 62-year-old to get his own prostate checked. Despite being health conscious, he admitted he had "shied away from prostate cancer" but eventually went to go and get checked by his GP, reports the LiverpoolECHO.
After initial examinations, he was given a hospital appointment for further tests. Mike said: "Though it said my PSA was a little high, everything was fine but they told me to keep having the tests done to make sure it hadn’t got any worse."
