Police found almost $500,000 in cash, kilograms worth of drugs and "handwritten instruction for drug trafficking, titled 'Dad's Advice'", according to court documents.
Simon Robert Arthur faced the ACT Magistrates Court on Tuesday, when he did not enter pleas to two drug trafficking charges and a count of dealing in proceeds of crime exceeding $100,000.
Police allege the 47-year-old man is responsible for 2.5kg of dried cannabis, 250 grams of cocaine, four firearm magazines, and small amounts of pills and tablets seized from his Turner home last month.
That amount of cocaine is roughly 41 times what is considered a traffickable quantity in the ACT.
According to police documents tendered in court, the handwritten instruction found at the home alongside clipseal bags was signed "Daddio xx".
Defence lawyer Michael Kukulies-Smith successfully argued for his client's bail, claiming territory police concerns over the case were at odds.
Mr Kukulies-Smith questioned police expressing concerns over Arthur being "under threat from other members of an alleged syndicate" but also that he may have the means to offend if released back into the community.
The court also heard Arthur had cut short an overseas trip after hearing of the raid on his house, flown back to Australia and presented himself to police.
A prosecutor told the court the man was the only one who had access to the house and a fitted alarm went off when police raided it.
Magistrate James Lawton ultimately granted Arthur's conditional release but ordered he hand over his passport.
The accused man is set to face court again later this month.
