Dad punched after his Aintree stag do now fighting for life in coma

A dad celebrating his stag do is now fighting for his life after being punched outside a bar.

Lee Burns, 41, had celebrated his stag do at the Grand National at Aintree Racecourse on Saturday (April 15). He then returned to Poulton in Lancashire to continue his night out.

However, Lee was knocked unconscious and suffered a head injury after being assaulted outside a bar at around 1.25am on Sunday (April 16). The dad-of-three from Blackpool is now in an induced coma at Royal Preston Hospital, having undergone emergency surgery.
