Dad discovers he is dying after losing grip in his left hand weeks before birth of son

A soon-to-be dad had his "world turned upside down" after he was diagnosed with a terminal disease just weeks before his baby son was due to be born.

Rob O'Hara, from Runcorn, first realised something was wrong when he lost the ability to pinch his thumb and index finger together.

At first the 33-year-old thought he was experiencing carpal tunnel syndrome, which is a common condition that causes tingling, numbness and pain in the fingers and hand.
