A dad and his young daughter left a woman welling up after their cute festive gesture following a trip to ASDA.
Connor Moreland says two-year-old Miley is obsessed with helping others and they wanted to do something nice at an important time of the year.
So after wrapping Christmas presents with his partner Danielle last week, they put forward a plan the youngster could get on board with.
The pair bought a bottle of alcohol, a box of chocolates and a gift bag from their local Asda store and on their way home, Miley chose a house at random.
Choosing a home with few lights, she wanted to spread some festive cheer and was beaming with pride when the woman answered the door.
Explaining to the woman that he wanted to teach his daughter the gift of spreading joy, Connor says that the she was extremely grateful and teared up.
He told the LiverpoolEcho : "She was just made up a nd my daughter loved it.
"I couldn't get her to stop speaking, as soon as she opened the door she said Merry Christmas and started telling her what she wanted.. I just thought it would be nice to cheer someone up and the woman was super grateful.
"It made her day, it was so nice. I think it's important to teach a child to think of others, not just at Christmas but all the time. It's nice to help people and remember people but more importantly to make sure they know it's not all about you, it's about doing things for others."
Miley is always thinking of others as she often goes out of her way to spread joy, even giving her own pocket money to local buskers as Connor said: "She's a good girl. And the family we gave to were just lovely."
Posting on social media, Miley's grandad shared the good heart-warming story. He added: "The lady accepted the gifts and started to cry, saying what a lovely daughter he had and a lovely gesture, she asked for a cuddle.
"My granddaughter proceeded to tell her what she would like off Santa, she's pretty bright for her age, got into a full conversation. She went in and gave her a lollypop.
"I would just like to say how proud I am of him and her for making a random person so happy. She did say how hard it's been for her and wished them both a very very merry Christmas. It's lovely to take some time and just have a thought for others."
This prompted dozens of comments, inspiring others to do similar. One person wrote: "What a kind thing to do and very thoughtful. He sounds like a rare diamond. A keeper. Good luck and Merry Christmas."
Another said: "Well done that man!! Merry Christmas to you all, really makes you warm inside." A third added: "What a lovely thing to do. I think I’ll do this with my boys later today."
