In two Instagram stories shared on May 7, Caleb strongly denied claims that he helped Celeste get backstage at one of D4vd’s concerts years ago. He also called out outlets like TMZ and Daily Mail for accusing him of using the situation to gain attention for his music career. Caleb explained that many people online were wrongly saying he knew what was happening around his brother and was protecting him. However, he said that was completely false. Caleb clarified that he had not lived with D4vd for years and that the two were not very close growing up. According to him, they only spoke occasionally during family visits or tours.
The controversy started after TMZ published a report on May 5 claiming Caleb was preparing to release music focused on romance and relationships while D4vd was facing serious legal trouble connected to Celeste Rivas Hernandez’s death. Caleb responded by saying people were spreading false stories without understanding the full situation. He also stressed that his focus remained on wanting justice for Celeste and not making the case about himself.
