New details came out during the preliminary hearing in the murder case against singer David Anthony Burke, also known as D4vd. On the fourth day of the hearing, prosecutors presented text messages recovered from Burke’s phone that they say show he allegedly got 13-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez pregnant in late 2023. According to testimony from an LAPD detective, the messages suggest the two discussed ending the pregnancy in January 2024. The evidence was presented in court as part of the ongoing hearing, and Burke has pleaded not guilty to all charges against him.

The new evidence was presented by LAPD Detective Corey Farell during the hearing. Prosecutors showed dozens of text messages and photos that were recovered from Burke’s mobile phone.
