The day before its Q2 2026 earnings release, quantum computing firm D-Wave Quantum Inc. (NYSE: QBTS) announced a major breakthrough in quantum error correction that has significant implications for its future gate-model quantum tech development.
Even with this seemingly impressive update, the company could not stop the sell-off that occurred following its Aug. 6 earnings release. Shares fell by about 9% as D-Wave revealed that, despite several technological and business wins, revenue growth has not yet accelerated.
