Jamaica coach Lorne Donaldson lamented his side's defensive lapses as they warmed up for their Cup of Nations meeting with Australia by falling to a late 3-2 loss against Czechia.
Donaldson's side looked to have secured themselves a point at Parramatta's CommBank Stadium but a 90th minute Alena Peckova strike allowed the Czechs to snatch victory on Sunday.
Jamaica, who have been drawn in a World Cup group with heavyweights Brazil and France, face the Matildas on Wednesday in Newcastle.
"There's some stuff, but we've got to be able to manage games," said Donaldson, whose side lost to Spain in their tournament opener.
"We conceded in the last minute of the first half and in the second half we decided to give up a goal because we're thinking outside the box.
"Managing the game especially when you're tired is key and we were awful at that.
"They (Australia) are at home, they're energetic, so we have to come out again and do some good stuff against them."
The Czechs got the breakthrough in the 22nd minute when Kristyna Ruzickova was brought down inside the Jamaican box, with Andrea Staskova slotting the penalty.
Jody Brown equalised for the Reggae Girlz but a defensive lapse at a corner allowed Klara Cahynova to head home Czechia's second goal in first half stoppage time.
Kameron Simmonds pulled one back for the Jamaicans after the break but Donaldson's side suffered a late collapse which allowed Peckova to score the late winner for the Czechs.
"We came here to play three quality teams and we came here to mimic the situation of being in Australia," Donaldson said.
"It's been good for us so far and we look forward to the final game against the Matildas."
