Scotland’s old guard stepped up to lead the way and enable Melissa Andreatta’s side to take another step towards Brazil next summer with a 2-0 win over the Czech Republic in last night’s FIFA World Cup semi-final play-off.
Caroline Weir and Claire Emslie, who were both part of the Scotland side who qualified for the 2019 World Cup, the first time Scotland made it to the tournament, flipped the tie firmly in Scotland’s favour with two goals in eight second-half minutes.
