People looking to travel to Cyprus have been issued a warning from the UK Foreign Office.
Despite the majority of trips being trouble-free, the Foreign Office has reminded visitors that the authorities in north Cyprus do not share information regarding British Nationals in distress. This prompted new information to be shared on the political situation, and additional information about child abduction in north Cyprus, reports the Echo.
The Republic of Cyprus is a full member of the EU, but the country remains divided by the Green Line. The self-declared ‘Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus’ is not recognised by the British government.
