Cyndi Lauper is opening her personal archives to collectors, putting decades of fashion, stagewear, and entertainment memorabilia up for auction at Bonhams in New York. The two-part sale, Cyndi Lauper: Suitcase of Memories, begins with a live auction on October 22, followed by an online sale running through October 23, 2026.
The collection spans more than four decades of the singer's career, bringing together vintage finds, designer garments, music memorabilia, and personal keepsakes. Timed to coincide with the 40th anniversary of her 1986 album True Colors, the sale offers fans a closer look at the creative choices behind some of Lauper's most recognizable looks.
According to W Magazine, which interviewed Lauper at Bonhams ahead of the auction, the singer sees the sale as an opportunity to share pieces that have shaped her creative journey rather than keep them stored away. Her approach to fashion, which blends unconventional styling with vintage clothing and do-it-yourself details, remains central to the collection.
