A cyclist has been taken to hospital after a crash in Whalley Range. The man, in his 40s, suffered head and knee injuries following the incident at the Brooks Bar junction.
Police and ambulance were called at 2.20pm this afternoon to reports of a collision on Upper Chorlton Road and Stamford Street. Eyewitnesses reported seeing a heavy police presence in the area.
The cyclist, a man in his 40s, has since been taken to hospital for treatment with head and knee injuries.

A spokesperson for the North West Ambulance Service said: “We responded to RTC involving a cyclist, following a call at 14.20. A man in his 40s was taken to hospital with knee and head injuries.”
