A cyclist has been rushed to hospital after a collision with a taxi on a busy Tallaght road.
Gardai and emergency services rushed to the scene on Belgard Road just before 8am this morning.
The cyclist, a man in his 50s, was taken to nearby Tallaght University Hospital from the scene.
Thankfully, his injuries appear not to be life-threatening.
Gardai remained at the scene of the crash throughout rush hour, with traffic backed up in the area all morning as a result.
A garda spokesman told Dublin Live: "Gardai attached to Tallaght Garda Station attended the scene of a traffic collision involving a vehicle and a cyclist that occurred at approximately 7:50am this morning, Friday, 28 January 2022 on the Belgard Road.
"The cyclist, a man aged in his 50s, was conveyed to Tallaght University Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries sustained as a result of this incident."
