Cyclist injured in collision with van in Nottingham city centre

A motorcyclist has been injured following a collision with a van on a busy Nottingham main road. Police were called at 8.49am this morning (March 3) to the scene in Derby Road, Nottingham.

Emergency services were forced to close the road near it's junctions with Vernon Street and North Circus Street a result of the crash. Nottinghamshire Police has confirmed that the rider suffered minor injuries.

Traffic was "slow" heading westbound and drivers urged to seek alternative routes. Nottingham City Transport (NCT) buses were also forced into diversions - the Pink, Orange and Turquoise buses were diverted when leaving the city.
