A cyclist was in a critical condition on Wednesday after being involved in a collision with a lorry in Surbiton.
The man, believe to be in his 40s, was treated at the scene for leg injuries and taken to hospital.
A passerby said the driver of what is thought to have been a skip lorry was talking to police officers at the cordon.
She said: “He was just asking how the person was doing. He seemed in shock”
Police officers were called at 8.20am on Wednesday following reports of a road traffic collision involving a lorry and cyclist on the junction of Ewell and Langley roads.
Officers, London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance all attended the scene.
