Thailand is expected to sign a cybersecurity agreement with Israel, touted as the first step towards greater collaboration between the two countries, during a ceremony in Bangkok this week.
The signing of the memorandum of understanding on "Cyber Security Cooperation" will occur on Wednesday at Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit Hotel, according to the Israeli embassy.
The agreement will be the first international cybersecurity MoU between Thailand and another nation, it said.
The embassy added that for the past three decades, Israel has been providing cybersecurity solutions that enhance security in other nations and for organisations around the world.
As of today, Israeli cybersecurity solutions are protecting billions of people, sustaining the supply of vital services, it said.
The embassy said that cooperation under the MoU may include exchange of information on cybersecurity policies, incidents and best practices, human resource development, organising visits on current issues, among other types of cooperation, all with the goal of enhancing cyber security.
The MoU's signing is the first step towards a collaboration between Israel and Thailand for mutual development in cybersecurity, the Israeli embassy said.
Participants will have a chance to experience a live Cyber Range demonstration, a cybersecurity capacity building tool developed by Israel's Cyberbit, it said.
