If your home has more bedrooms than people, you could save money your water bill with a few simple hacks, according to Money-Saving Expert Martin Lewis.
The consumer champion and TV presenter used part of his ITV show this week to issue an important message to anyone with a home that has more than a single bedroom. On The Martin Lewis Money Show, which is co-hosted by Angelica Bell, Lewis said that there were many ways people could save on their household bills. The fresh advice came as energy bills continued to surge amid the ongoing energy crisis, with costs expected to rise by more than half next month.
Starting in April, households across the UK could begin to struggle to pay their utility bills, which are expected to rise by hundreds of pounds per year, especially for gas and electricity usage. But one part of the show covered another utility bill – water – with bills set to rise by an average of 2 per cent in England and Wales. Lewis tackled the subject of water meters – something that could help some households actually bring bills down. He gave as an example a couple who owned a four-bed house, and said having a water meter should save them some money.
