A customer was left horrified after receiving their breakfast bill in a Cork restaurant over the weekend only to find they had been charged for sauce.
Having ordered two full Irish breakfasts, the customer couldn't believe their eyes when an additional €1.50 each was added to their bill for tomato relish and brown sauce.
For two full Irish breakfasts at €24, eggs your way at €6.50, americano at €3, flat white at €3.20 and the additional sauces totalling €3, the customer's bill came to a whopping €39.70.

Sharing a snap of the bill on Twitter, RedFM radio presenter Neil Prendeville said: "CORK RESTAURANT CHARGES FOR SAUCE - A listener has sent in this receipt after breakfast in a popular Cork eaterie.
"The itemised bill shows a charge of €1.50 each for a side of brown sauce and relish.
"Surely salt, pepper, vinegar, ketchup, and brown sauce should be complimentary."
The Tweet has divided users as many vowed that they would never return to any establishment if the same charges were applied to them.
One user wrote: "For that kind of charge, I would never again go into cafe/restaurant on principle alone".
Another commented: "One would think the meal includes salt, vinegar, sauces, napkins etc. If not then use of cutlery, napkins, electricity, toilets, sanutizer etc should be paid seperately. These items are also paid for also by them. Bit much to charge for a dollop of sauce. €1.50 is a full bottle!"
A third said: "Ridiculous price. Maybe 20 cent would be more acceptable. We were charged 6 euro for having a table cloth in Italy".
While a fourth wrote: "Greedy Ireland is alive and well."

However, others defended the charge arguing that restauranteurs shouldn't have to foot the cost if a customer requires additional items.
They said: "Why should something the restaurant bought be given to a customer complimentary?"
Another wrote: "Hang on Neil, before bashing the place, is this a sauce listed as an extra. The fact they list eggs your way doesnt sound like a fast food cafe. Give the place a chance before it's trashed".
