Curtis Pritchard is set to make his return to acting despite being slammed for his ability during a brief stint on Hollyoaks.
Ballroom dancer Pritchard, who rose to fame on popular ITV2 dating show Love Island, and his former Strictly Come Dancing professional brother AJ both appeared on Hollyoaks in May 2021.
However, their acting abilities were heavily criticised as Curtis portrayed Jacob and AJ played his twin brother Marco in the Channel 4 soap, with a clip from a scene of the two brothers going viral on social media.
Despite the criticism, it has not put Curtis off from having another crack at the small screen as he aims to return to the industry in the near future.
He also feels that the experience was positive for Hollyoaks too.
He told the Daily Star : "Going on Hollyoaks was such a great thing because I learned so much from it. It taught me a lot of acting. I fell in love with acting. It gave me a buzz for acting.
"I am 100% keen to do more acting. 1000%! I have been having acting lessons. From that performance on Hollyoaks to now, I’m like a different person."
Curtis added: "Put it like this, I got more press than Hollyoaks has ever got. In more countries than even get Hollyoaks. They were very happy."
It is believed that the 26-year-old has been honing his acting skills by taking lessons in his bid to land another TV role.
He is currently on our screens alongside his older brother AJ for the new series of Channel 4's Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins, which began last Sunday (September 4).
The brutal endurance test this year sees more celebrity recruits than ever before, in the longest series yet.
The dancing pair were among 14 celebrities to be tasked with some once in a life time experiences in the Jordanian desert as they're pushed to their limits and beyond.
The new series, the fourth celebrity one, features seven 60-minute episodes. SAS: Who Dares Wins sees selected members of the public - and now celebrities too - put through military training exercises to test their physical and mental strength.
In the first episode, the brothers had to strip down and share water with reality TV star Ferne McCann for a daily wash.
Speaking before the new series, chief instructor Rudy said: "SAS is renowned for having the highest standards.
"We don’t care where they come from or what their net worth is. We demand full throttle excellence no matter celebrity, title or fame."
