Curtis Pritchard finally moving out of brother AJ's flat three years after Love Island

Curtis Pritchard has revealed that he will be moving out of his brother AJ's flat this week, some three years after going to stay with him following his Love Island appearance.

The 26-year-old dancer, who starred on Dancing With The Stars in Ireland before looking for a partner in the Love Island villa, is moving into his own flat, much to the pleasure of AJ, 27, who was a pro dancer on Strictly.

Curtis shared his intentions to leave his brother's flat during an appearance on Channel 4's lunchtime show, Steph's Packed Lunch, with Steph McGovern.

Appearing on the show today, alongside his brother, Curtis said: "Tomorrow, I pick up the keys, I’m moving into a place with no furniture, nothing and I’m still going to sleep there that night.”

AJ added that Curtis moving out couldn't have come sooner, as he looks forward to having his flat to himself and girlfriend Abbie.

He said: “After leaving Love Island, what was that three years ago? It’s only taken three years for you to make this decision and make it happen… [To Steph McGovern] You know what you were talking about before, about what is the thing you would wait four years for? It’s ended up being Curtis moving out.”

Curtis defended himself, saying: “The circumstances of the world we live in have changed, that was the problem.”

Steph asked if Curtis is moving far away or staying close to AJ. Curtis replied: "Yeah, literally next door. I’m not even joking.”

AJ interjected: “It’s not next door, it’s a good 100 metres down the road.”

Curtis added: “It’s in the building next to AJ’s.”

Steph McGovern asked AJ how his girlfriend Abbie has felt about Curtis living with them all these years and if she’ll be glad “to be shot of him”.

AJ replied: “I think she’s quite happy, plus that means we get more room. Abbie likes clothes and filling the wardrobes so when you move out it’s going to become a walk-in wardrobe.

"It’s going to happen overnight, straight away, your bed’s gone, straight away, wardrobes are in.”

Curtis seemed surprised to took the opportunity to ask: “Can I take the bed? I’ll take the bed.”

AJ replied: “To get rid of you, you can have a free bed.”

Asked if he’s going to be okay on his own, Curtis told Steph: “I’ll come back to you in a month and I’ll let you know.”

AJ also spoke about how Abbie is recovering from an accident she had last year, which left her with third-degree burns.

AJ replied: “She’s doing really well. What has been amazing is the support and help from the NHS, the continued support, mentally and physically that they’ve offered.

"Right now, she’s going through different treatments… It’s amazing all the different opportunities and options that are out there.

“We’re doing a lot for Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, we’re actually running the London Landmark Half Marathon on April 3rd, all raising money for the burns unit at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.”

*Steph’s Packed Lunch airs weekdays at 12.30pm on Channel 4 and All 4.
