Jones sends five-word Liverpool
Curtis Jones has sent a message to his Liverpool team-mates following the club’s victory in the Carabao Cup.
The Reds won the trophy in a dramatic fashion as goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher scored the decisive spot-kick to give Liverpool an 11-10 win over Chelsea in the shoot-out.
Despite Thiago Alcantara pulling out late with an injury in the warm-up, there was no place for Jones in the matchday squad, with fellow midfielders James Milner, Harvey Elliott and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain all occupying spaces on the bench at Wembley.
The 21-year-old was part of the celebrations, though, having played his part in getting Jurgen Klopp’s side to the final, and he sent a celebratory message on social media.

Romelu Lukaku Liverpool taunts backfire on Chelsea
Liverpool won their first silverware in more than 18 months when they defeated Chelsea in a dramatic Carabao Cup final on Sunday.
Caoimhin Kelleher scored the 21st spot kick of an epic shoot-out before watching Chelsea counterpart Kepa Arrizabalaga balloon his effort over the bar as the Reds won 11-10 on penalties following a tense goalless draw.
The result means Jurgen Klopp’s side have completed the first leg of what they hope will be an unprecedented quadruple with major interest retained in the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League.
But there was plenty that went unnoticed or under the radar during the 90 minutes at Wembley.
