Lucas Moura’s situation is a good illustration of Tottenham’s improvement under Antonio Conte.

A favourite of Jose Mourinho and Nuno Espirito Santo, Lucas was a peripheral figure in the second-half of last season and the £60million capture of Richarlison leaves him as Spurs’ fifth-choice forward (or perhaps even sixth, if Conte considers Ivan Perisic an option in the front three).
