Nottingham Forest fans have been discussing the £20m price tag slapped on Djed Spence by Middlesbrough, as the Reds battle with Tottenham Hotspur for the 21-year-old.
Spence is a wanted man after impressing on loan with Forest last season, helping Steve Cooper's side earn promotion back to the Premier League, and has been linked with a permanent move to the City Ground.
The Reds are joined by Tottenham in the transfer fight for the wing-back, with reports suggesting that Spence is more interested in moving to north London than a return to the East Midlands.

Now, journalist Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Middlesbrough, Spence's parent club, are still "waiting to receive an official bid" from Spurs. Romano has stated that Antonio Conte's side have kept an eye on Spence "since March" and reports in the north east have claimed Boro have placed a £20m asking price on the England under-21 international.
Spurs could be set to receive a financial and squad boost in their quest to sign Spence. According to reports, Atletico Madrid are keen to sign Emerson Royal this summer as Kieran Trippier's replacement, a move that would open up a space at right-back at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
After Romano's revelation about Middlesbrough's stance, Forest fans have been debating whether the asking price is too much. Here's what some of them have had to say...
Keelo: Another club who are living in cuckoo land regarding a players worth. I love Spence but lets be honest, 1 good season....Boro and the fans want him out and he has no future there but want £20m? Sorry £15m tops. Same with the Blades. Lowe is 4th choice and now they are demanding £5m. Leaving it to Coops and the team to do it. They know what they are doing.
Paul Rayns: If we want him as I am sure we do, why are we holding fire and not making an official bid? All I’m seeing is paper talk, how about some action? First come first served as the saying goes
Alan Thompson: Not worth 20m and it seems to be a case of his club getting greedy. If they continue down this route they may end up with nothing.
90isthefuture: If Tottenham are playing a waiting game then so should we. Let other people make a bid then we match that offer if we can. Thing is we may have hit the jackpot moneywise but it's not available yet and Marinakas still has to scramble for at 100 mil for this unexpected promotion.
ChrissyD: We want him, we need him, let’s get him! Spurs may live to regret stalling. Snooze you lose. First come first served. Early bird catches the worm etc, Come on Forest let’s do this!
Mark Wolden: Djed was never our player but he applied himself 110% to Forest and gave his all for the Club. He helped the team get promotion and now has a potential once in a lifetime opportunity to play in CL, I say best of luck to him and thank him and his mum for their contribution to Forest. He and him mum always welcome at City Ground in my book.
Matt Halsall: They know his preference so there is no pressure for them to sign now. I’m holding very little hope for this transfer, Spurs want him and he wants Spurs so it will happen at some point. Forest are right to look for alternatives
