PITTSBURGH — Two bullpen sessions this week provided promising feedback for the Cubs’ rotation. 

Left-hander Drew Smyly (strained right oblique) and right-hander Marcus Stroman (right shoulder inflammation) threw about 30 pitches Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively.
