A man was fatally shot Tuesday night in West Englewood, according to Chicago police.
The man, 47, was standing outside in the 1400 block of West 71st Street at 8:38 p.m. when an SUV approached and someone inside fired shots, police said. The vehicle then headed east on 71st Street.
He was shot in the chest and abdomen. He was taken in critical condition to University of Chicago Medical Center, where he died.
No one is in custody.
